Welcome aboard! I picked almost the identical thing a few weeks back. I love this thing. Dude do the ISR mod, Deck plate mod, and the grey wire mod and hit the trails!!!!!!!!! That is what I am doing.

17? Really?! Man. I'm just a little floored since I wasn't allowed to even look at a car when I was 17 much less drive one. And, yes, I was blindfolded before I could take a ride in a car. LOL!

Seriously though, welcome. :)

 I bought mine when i was 16.

My Yota was the first new car I ever bought 32,000.00 at the dealer in Atlanta when I was 21yrs old. I am still driving it and it has 210,852 miles currently. I only wish I would have had that crystal ball fixed and chose to get the 4WD version. Oh well its been paid for a while now and I am planning on passing it down to my oldest (She's 13 now) when she starts driving in a couple of years. If it survives her it will go to her Sis and brother when they get old enough. Then after they are done I will SAS it and see what else I can do. Take care of it and it will reward you with many years of faithful service. Oh and welcome to the addiction I mean forum...:D

i was 18 when i bought my first one. well... my current one. 3 years later and still makin payments! hahaha. will be for what seems like the rest of my life.
congrats on the new ride! but as its been stated, get those pics up!

Hard to believe people buy a brand new hunk of junk car for 20k+ when they could have got a used 4Runner in great shape for less than 10k. My
11 y/o 4R will still be going strong while their car is shot and gone in less than 10 yrs. Just my 2 cents.

a. mine wasnt new. it was 4 years old & 40,000 miles.
b. whos to say mine isnt going to last forever like yours is suppose to?

4runners last forever no matter what year they are. its all about taking care of your vehicle, and not treating it like dirt.

just my 2 cents.

Grey wire mod is the ability to lock your rear diff in either 2wd 4hi and 4lo.http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/46404-grey-wire-mod-4runners.html

I just used an old lid I had laying around to do deck plate mod.
