Hi everyone. I'm new here. I have been looking around for about a month and finally decided to sign up (computers down so I'm using my iPhone). Well I just got a 89 4Runner for 900 bucks. The guy I got it from works where I work. The person he got it from sold it due to orders else where for cheap as well even though he had the engine rebuilt (V6) and new lockers installed. Unfortunately it has an auto tranny. Thankfully it's having problems and slips in reverse so I'm going to convert to a 5 speed. Also going to put on a soft top. Welcome to the 4runner forum. Thats why I love this site as there is a lot of help to go around. looks like your plans are good and remember the 4runner is a great vehicle but theres always room for improvement and by that I mean upgrades!! cant let jeeps and land rovers have all the fun. lol:driving:
