Would love to know your impressions. Just want a low budget model to kick around with and have on me for hiking, my daily commute, and the occasional pop up need. Don't see real hardcore daily use.

Looks like a good knife. I don't spend alot of money on knives as I use them and either break them, wear them out or just lose them.

One thing I learned ( the hard way) is get a knife with a GOOD blade lock. Nothing like having the blade decide to close on your knuckles because of a shitty lock system!!!

I buy all my knives from Big 5 Sporting Goods. And I like the CRKT knifes, I think Smith and Wesson are crap. Big 5 also sells H@D ( i think) they're the step brother to Benchmade They're on sale all the time and they're good knives. Usually $70 and up for around $30 $40. Sometimes less. Their latest models all have automatic locking systems. Problem is they're all usually serrated.....

For $30 i would not expect too much from it, but it seems to have all the qualities it needs. I would say not a bad buy at all.

Also Walmart has decent knives for around the price. I used to carry a Geber Paraframe. Simple, good knife as well.

I have a Leatherman folding knife. Semi-serrated, pocket clip, really great quality. Got it at Fry's of all places. I have Gerber, Cold Steel, and Ka-Bar. But this is my current favorite.

I would say it is a decent knife honestly. the locking mechanism like that are generally good. if it however has a angle on the edge where the lock contacts then i normally disassemble and file it to be more flat. and the metal for the blade is perfect. AUS 8 holds and edge and resists rust well. All i use is SOG and that is the main metal they use.

Thats not all bad but there are better knifes out there within 10 bucks with a great rep.

I tossed one of these into an Amazon order a few months back. It's not the end all, be all of pocket knives, but for the price it's not bad. I've used it to scrape drywall imperfections, cut away rotted wood, as a screw driver, wedge tool, tear down some thick appliance cardboard packaging, and to open a bunch of subsequent boxes from Amazon orders. :thumb: Plus its huge and maybe one of these days I'll get to use the "that's not a knife" line from Crocodile Dundee...

I got one about a week ago and it is certainly rock solid with zero play and feels great in the hand. Sharp as hell right out of the box. Texture of the handle is a tad slippery though. Ontario builds most of their extensive collection in the USA but not this one.
