New lift - What to look for?

I am going to install the 3inch revtek lift. I have a 2003 4runner with no Xreas. It's a 4wd 4Runner.

I was scanning this group and noticed some had CV issues when the 4runner is lifted. Is there anything else I should look out for? My intention is to put bigger tires on the truck, but I do not want to stress out anything in the 4runner, like tranny, differentials, or whatever else is impacted when I do this lift. Should I maybe do a 2inch lift?

I guess I am just trying to figure out how to lift the truck and do it right. What to replace, move and do so I don't have to mess with it again. Thanks!

You'll be completely fine. Just install them suckers and take lots of photos of the 4runner and your face as I'm sure we'll see a BIG grin after the install

I might recommend that you get new cotter pins and not reuse the old ones.

Thanks much!! Will be giving it a shot in a month or two.. trying to find a shop that has a spring compressor... and someone that did this before...

autozone has free rental of spring compressors. just leave your c/c number for deposit and bring it back after you're done. Can't beat that. They also have other tools if you need em too!

Anyone that has done a lift install will be able to do it w/o any problems. If it's your first time, need not worry as there are several instructions floating on the net that is very useful. Even the 3rd gen instruction will work
