Have not driven one, but rode with my client in their new one and was really impressed. (Particularly in comparison to the old Navigator)
Theirs had a blue and white interior, not my taste, but I'm kinda happy to see some color coming back to car interiors.

Never would have thought I would like a blue interior until I saw the blue in the new Navis. They didn't seem to overlook anything, which is quite impressive.

One of my family members used to have a Navigator years ago but I haven’t really looked into the new ones in detail.
Having some GM connections I tend to lead more towards an optioned out Yukon Denali, but I can appreciate them having a general passion for cars and trucks. Denali we rented for a road trip and it really was that much nicer than being in a 4Runner for extended periods of time, but I feel it’s too big for general city use at times. Navigator would probably fall into the same for me.
The Black Label Navigator with the 450HP Twin Turbo v6 sounds pretty nice but I would rather have the naturally aspirated V8 of a Yukon Denali or LX / Land Cruiser. At that price range 85-100k, all of those options are open for consideration.
Our next purchase is going to be a luxury SUV, but since we do off-road, I always end up back in the GX / LX camp. After wheeling with my GX buddy, off-roading cocooned in luxury, actually something I can get used to coming from my SR5 4Runner.

Land Cruiser doesn't even have multi-adjustable front passenger seat, the interior quality is laughable compared to cars in its class. Then you get to service it in a Toyota dealership that doesn't even offer concierge service for a near 100k vehicle.
I'd pay 55k for a cloth Land Cruiser, that's where the vehicle should live.

The new Navigator is light years ahead of the GM counterparts, including Escalade and Denali. The 3rd row on these GMs are basically worthless since the 2nd row canNOT slide forward (or backwards). And you basically sit in the 3rd row with your knee against your chin...so, you have to get the long Denali XL to even get half-decent room back there.
The Navigator 3rd row is much roomier than Land Cruiser’s 2nd row...thanks to Navi’s IRS! The luxury part of the Navigator pretty much blows everything out of the water within that price range ($70-100k).
Now, off-roading, that is where Navi is weak at. I don’t think that you can even get 4-LO and it does not have skid plates.
If you want Navi’s size/comfort + off-roading, then you need to get Ford Expedition XLT with FX4 package. That will get your 4-LO, smaller rims, rear electronic LSD (apparently very good LSD), and skid plates. But, the problem is XLT is missing two major things (for me): LED headlights and decent sound system (B&O audio). You can get higher end Expedition + tow package that gets you 4-LO and LSD but you miss out on skid plates.
Oh, and the Ford/Lincoln SUVs come with Apple CarPlay.
You’re right. Land Cruiser is an excellent SUV from a expedition point of view due to its off-road prowess and quality standards. But from convenience, luxury, and practicality for a family of 5+, it is pretty bad.
The problem is that 3rd row is a joke (worst than even the GM’s SUV). Heck, even the 2nd row is not that roomy! No room for toes under the front seat. The materials INSIDE the Land Cruiser is a joke, esp at $85k. FAKE WOOD. Cheap ass plastic handles...but hey at least it is painted plastic, right?!!
. And then you get to the fuel economy...dismal. Just bad. And then you sprinkle some 8-speed automatic tranny failures...and well, that polish Land Cruiser heritage you bought for $85k is a bit tainted.
For me and my family of 5 (and sometimes requiring 3rd row), we’re looking at either Toyota Sequoia vs. Expedition in next year or two. I want LOW range. Sequoia interior is not great (good JBL system like Land Cruiser, but no CarPlay) and fuel economy is really bad but it comes with a stellar proven reliability (still using old trusty 6-speed auto). It is also very roomy on a slightly smaller footprint than Expedition. I would love to get Navigator but it is too expensive and no LOW range. Land Cruiser is great but price vs. what you get is kinda rough. Lexus GX/4runner is just too small...and 3rd row is non-existent. Or i can just get another minivan....

4-LO looks to be incorporated in a "Drive Mode"...
Skid plates, I can't find any info on those yet?!

I stand corrected. Damn, now my decision is even tougher!
I wonder if i can just pay Ford Parts Dept to get me those XLT FX4 skidplates and just install on my own??

Looks like the front skid plate for the Expedition is about $170.00 now..

Personally I think it's kind of ugly and bloated looking. Some of the luxury features are nice but nothing all that incredible or innovative. Maybe it's because I've been following the new Ram trucks lately. The interior quality of those things is pretty incredible. Especially for a pickup. I guess the massive three row SUV market is just not for me...

222" inches of Lincoln love for the long wheelbase. That's a whole lotta SUV. I don't think it would fit in my tiny garage.

Yeah, been looking at the new RAM too. Well, that thing is HUGE too.
For me, i trust Ford over GM...and definitely over RAM/Jeep/Chrysler. Look at the frame issue on the new Rubicon! That alone has scared me away from RAM.
