New MB, error beeps

I have a D845 working w/512 MB. Put in 1 GB Corsair (new)and I get 1 long, 2-4 short beeps. Pulled out the new and same errors. power down for a while, tried working Mushkin black and same beeps. did I lose a motherboard? the 2 slots look clean. (old business board as a back up). thanks

Check the battery.

Battery, BIOS pin, cleaned and reseated CPU, working MB in place, still get errors. May tear it down this weekend. Appreciate your ideas guys. This was my backup dual-boot XP Pro/Ubuntu machine. (Glad the 2 GB ULtra MB worked for this machine.)
