Well I am the proud owner of a 1998 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4wd. Bought the vehicle earlier this year and have been lurking around on this website. Figured it was time to show some pictures of the old girl. This is actually our 3rd Toyota. We also have a 1996 LandCruiser, and the wife drives a 2007 Toyota 4Runner v8 2wd. The vehicle will be strictly an around town vehicle, and highly doubt she will ever see offroad ( that is what the LandCruiser is for).
The 4Runner is a 1998 Limited. Everything is in extremely good shape, and only the infamous clock doesn't work. Needed new plugs and wires, and will be upgrading the stereo and wheels and tires sometime next year. Threw some lights on the rack to spread some Christmas Cheer.

Looks clean! Any plans for it? The 99 cup holder would be nice or you can wait for SRQ-Runner to start making cup holders for the 96-98s.

Any maintenance logs with it? Hope your rig came with a full treasure chest inside.

Love the lights btw. How did you hook them up?

Thanks for all the replies. The lights are hooked up through an inverter plugged into the back outlet. I just got a cheap harbor freight one for now. Not a ton of maintenance logs on the vehicle. I actually work for a used car dealership and had the mechanic look it over head to toe. It only needed brake pads, new plugs and wires. It will eventually need valve cover gaskets, but they aren't too bad right now. The carfax showed pretty good maintenance intervals, and the it had never been in wreck. The woman who traded it in babied it and had owned it since 45,xxx miles.

*The only thing I don't like so far is the power, or lack there of. I am used to driving my wife's v8, 2wd and that thing has balls.

List of Mods to Come:
1. MAYBE removing the side steps
2. Probably doing the cupholder upgrade.
3. Tinting the front windows
4. new din head unit with speakers (and possibly my old sub, not sure if i want to take up all that space though)

Love the Rig, Totally love the idea of keeping her factory. I would add some LED to your Dome lights make things nice and bright inside.
