Last week I picked up my first 4 Runner and the dealer stated he has several guys he gives a heads up to whenever a early 4 Runner is traded in, one is in
Calif. and buys it sight unseen over the phone>. Apparently rust free 1st gen trucks are quite a prize!

Yeah I got lucky for sure. The truck is in great shape, aside from the usual hiccups like a rear window that rolls up only when you assist it by pulling up on it. Lol The guy I bought it from was really passionate about selling it to someone who would appreciate what it was. I kinda felt if I didn't fit the bill he would've sent me packing. Plus he gave me and my cousin a wild ride around his property to show what it could do, as a selling point. It sure the hell worked for me!

Nice truck.. My buddy has a 1st gen for a woods truck and the thing is so much fun on the trails. It seems like everything is a rust bucket here in the Northeast though.. Jealous of your find!

Beautiful! It reminds me of Back to the Future when Marty McFly gets a brand new black one! Man was that thing sweet! I just bought my second 4runner. It's brand spankin' new!
