Hi all.

Checking in from Washington State. I've been in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman for 20 years. The last 12 years have revolved around submarines, but I am now on shore duty. I have inherited my wife's '97 4Runner. It was her turn for an upgrade and we got her a 2008 Tacoma.

The 4Runner is a base model with 5 speed 4wd with 2.7 liter motor. It's got just over 220,000 miles on it. We bought it when I was stationed in Connecticut, and it has made most of a lap of the US. It has been to Maine and Florida, Along the South to Texas, then angled up through New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Oregon and into Washington. Then back down to Northern California, and up to Washington again. Been a faithful ride for over a decade. Put a new clutch in back around 199,000. I don't have a lot of pics. But took a couple recently. One is of the odometer when it hit 220,000. This weekend I put in some auxiliary 12V sockets. Fixed my cup holder, and replaced my floor mats, with rubber ones. All in all I think she is holding up pretty well.

Don't freak out about the picture showing the speed. I had the wife snap it while I was driving. I wasn't snapping and driving.
