New Member. Help have I bought a Ringer?

Hi just joined and looking forward to delving into the vast collection of knowledge, I know is available. But before that can anyone out there help me?
I have recently purchased a 1992 4Runner LHD.
It has a French Certificate d’immatriculation, and the VIN matches the vehicle.
However when I try to check the number on various web sites it shows as not being valid.
Can anyone sugest how I can confirm that the following VIN is correct.
JT111LDN909008307
Number d’imatriculation: DB-062-XV
All official contact to Toyota seems to be via their dealer network, and me trying to explain to a French reception engineer that I think my vehicle ID is not correct would make a short comedy film!!
Vehicle is registered, so I could ignore the situation, and soldier on. But knowing my luck if I ever tried to sell the vehicle the s**t would hit the preverbial.
Any help would be greatfully recieved.

Several VIN decoders on the web also say it's invalid.
Usually because the ninth digit (check digit) is bad.
One did say it was a 2000 Tacoma, but that's bogus.

Yeah it's likely due to the 9th digit which is the year and since they only have 9 digits it gets re-used. My guess would be that the vin wasn't re-used for some reason so it doesn't show up due to age. Ran into a similar problem with my 85 at the DMV and the girl had to call the supervisor over and enter everything manually as it was saying I had a much newer runner due to vin re-use. I looked it up TIS(Toyota's software) and your rig doesn't exist. I will dig a little deeper to see what turns p
