New Muffler: Why?

Yup, so the 4 cylinder piping must be 2"

Mine was 2" I believe.

I know it was much smaller because I took an exhaust tip from a Limited and it was wayyyyyy too big for my piping when it was stock. Clear inspection of both pipes showed that the stock 4 cylinder piping is smaller. No way that stock on ours is 2.5"

The 2.5 pipe I have now easily fit over the old piping with room to spare

My 4 cylinder Tacoma had the same 2.25" piping that the 6 cylinders came with, I wonder why yours was different :shrug:

No point in loud exhaust unless you have a V8. I wonder if the Lexus V8 will fit?

It does :bigok: I looked it up to do it to mine and it's a pretty easy swap if you have an auto trans, not so easy with a manual trans well just as easy but a good bit more expensive. You can get the 1uzfe (all aluminum 4.0 4 cam Lexus v8) for $4-600 ready to go! Do it do it...

4cyls, 6cyls, Tacos and 4runners all had 2.25" piping as far as I know.
