I took my 2017 TRD PRO to the dealer today to have a check up done on the car since I am considering selling the car. Had the time off and the inspection was free so why not?
However, after getting home from the Toyota service check up I heard some "high pitch" noises coming from the driver rear tire area at idle. First thought was the rear differential might be making the noise. However, I believe the noise is coming from under the skid plate towards the driver side where the gas tank is. The stock lift allows me to put my ear right to the metal to see where it seems to be the loudest. I made a video and you can hear the high pitch sound. I'm confused but my thoughts are, clogged line (sound of impeding suction), heat shield vibration, rear diff issues?
Any help would be useful. When I have the time I might take the gas tank skid off and investigate further.
Dealership did not notice the sound and again I noticed it once I got back home.
