New Nokian Vatiiva tires and Weathertech floor mats! *pics*

Here are a few pictures of 265/70R17 Nokian Vatiiva tires installed on my 04 4Runner. I was looking at other brands (BFG A/T's, Revo's, etc) but they were all $300+ a tire in my area. (Manitoba, Canada) Kal-Tire sells these for $211 a tire, which were way less than all the other ones I looked at, especially when buying 5 of them. Also, they are about the equivalent of a load range C, so compared to a D or E rated tire, the ride should be a bit smoother. I'm not too sure what psi they are inflated to, i'll check tomorrow, but the ride is nice, and there isnt much noticeable difference between these and the stock tires.

As far as durability on gravel roads and mudding, I wont know until spring time when everything thaws. MPG went down a couple points, but that might be because it's been 100% city driving since I had them installed, and its been between -15C to -30C.

So far I have put about 500 miles on them, which includes snow covered and iced up roads at about -20C and they have performed awesome!! Waaay better traction than the stock tires. I would totally recommend them to anybody who is looking for a really good all season tire with exceptional trantion during the winter. They also have a 80,000 km rating, which isnt bad either. Check out that siping on an all season tire!

Here are some pictures of the weather tech floor mats installed as well. I know there is already a thread started with other pictures, but what the heck. Fit and finish is sweet. The black is a nice contrast against the rest of the interior and IMO, would look better than the grey. They do a really good job of collecting water and dirt, and preventing the snow and ice from melting into the carpet.

Those tires kinda look like the REVOs. I don't see no snow on those floormats. j/k. I got the same weathertech floormats and kept my OEM mats underneath them.

Nice choice of tires, I think I would have tried those over the Revos if I would have known about them last year. Are the rear weathertechs one piece?

Very similar, but at 2/3's the price!

And yes, the rear floormat is once piece. Very nice protection against mud and water, but kind of a pain to get in a out to wash it.

nice choice in tires. i have nokian snows and have read about the vatiiva's as well. they are one of the few all terrain tires that can be confidently driven in winter conditions.

Iam running the same tire, size on my 06. What an excellent tire, had nokians on other vechicles.Getting some for my 08 tundra 275/70/18 for $250 per tire, best price I could find. The tires are great offroad, better than blizzaks, not to mention we run these year round. Good luck.

The floormats look great. What did they cost you, and where did you buy them? they don't look that deep, not sure if they'll catch all the snow? I'm in Edmonton, looking for floormats, and wanted something custom, rather than the garden-variety hardware store kind.

Just head to Truck Outfitters (west or southside) and pickup the Husky Liners. 200 bucks. Look and work great in the Runner.

The floormats do a pretty good job at catching and holdin the water when the snow melts. I bought them from www.llbean.com Check their site for prices. They are pricey, but well worth it in my opinion.
