New oem rear wiper no flex??

I put a new toyota (complete with japanese writing on the packaging) rear wiper blade on a little while ago, but it wont clean the top of the window? There is a half inch gap when it reaches the top so it's near useless. I can easily flex it with my hand but it wont form to the contour of the window while it's doing it's thing :shrug:

I only replaced the blade not the whole arm. The old blade worked ok except for the rubber being worn out. Is the arm not putting enough pressure on it?

Mine's always been terrible at wiping the top inch or two, although it doesn't lift off the glass quite like yours. Be interested to hear if there's anything that can fix it. I replaced it with an OEM one from the dealer right after I bought it three years ago cause the old one didn't wipe at all.

same issue with mine, it has never wiped the top portion of the glass. I think I was told once that you are not supposed to replace the whole wiper assembly but the just the blade itself, my dealership sells the blades for about $4 a piece.

I've replaced the assembly several times over the years (never just the blade), and have never had this issue. You can get them for around 10 bucks:

I started using Bosch Evolution wiper blades, a few years ago...their great.
- the Bosch Icon, apparently are a bit more expensive / never tried them
When I had a Volvo v70, OEM blades were $85/pair.
