New owner old truck

Hi, my name is Julian. I live in Maryland and I recently bought a 1987 t4r. My dd is a 07 cobalt ls but a couple months ago I hit a very large deer and totalled it . I've been working on getting the balt back on the road but I got the truck to drive in the mean time.

The truck originally had the 6 cylinder auto trans. It now has the 4cyl 5speed from what I've read this engine is much more reliable.

My wife wants me to get some running boards so she can climb in easier. And I want a different rear bumper, the stock one is bent in on the drivers side.

Will do. First thing I want to do is change the fuel filter. Spark plugs and air filter. I know how to do all that stuff but I really like to read how to ' s for ease of mind. When I changed the fuel filter on my cobalt the line cracked because it was rusted ... hope that doesn't happen to the 4runner
