New Owner, Orange Peel Paint.

Just purchased 00 4Runner Limited with 155k for $4800. Runs great, drives very well. Clean title and Carfax.

Noticed today on the C-posts, both sides, that from the Limited plate up it seems to be orange peeled a bit. All windows have the VIN etching, no record of an accident, and it is the same on both sides.

My first thought is that there was unreported wreck, but I remember having some rough clear-coat on portions of my old Tacoma for 'toughness.'

Didn't know if mine was the only one. Certainly can't think of a reason for that to have happened without there being damage elsewhere.

Yeah, they all match. I checked that day-of-purchase. It was raining so I didn't notice the difference in paint texture.

Mine has orange peel too from the factory, as i believe most will.

I also have a 2000 T4R Limited silver color and it has some orange peel in some spots too
