New Owner

Hey everyone, My name is Mike and I just bought a '06 limited w/ 30k miles about a month ago. Always wanted a 4runner and finally decided to ditch the A4 and get one, no complaints yet. I've been reading the forum and noticed everyone liked the LED swap for the interior lights and I hated the interior lighting, just finished putting them in and they were definitely worth it. I also like the look of the weathertech mats, those will probably be the next purchase. No pictures yet, the truck is filthy from all the snow, but will post some soon. Looking forward to learning some new things and checking out everyone's rides.

Welcome to the forum. I am sure you will like your 06 4Runner. As far a pictures go, a filthy 4Runner, is to me the best kind of 4Runner picture.

It has to be really filthy though.

Could you let me know what LED's (style and color) I need and how many I need for the interior. I did the lic. plate and looks great. Im not really into doing too much more than interior in terms of lighting so let me know how you like it. It doesnt look too "ricey" or "ghetto" does it?

Also, Id want to do the glove box too. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. Post some pics of the inside!

I too, would like to improve the interior lighting, if it's just a matter of changing bulbs.
How much did it cost, and how difficult was it?

I found them here, http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi?product=CAR, and I got 8 of the WLED-x4 LED bulb
12VDC 4-LED Wedge Base Bulb (194/168 type), but you would only need 6 for the doors and map lights and for the dome light I got 2 3022-x9 LED Festoon bulb, both of them white, looks pretty good. It definitely lights up the interior much better than the stock bulbs. Also, it is literally just taking off the covers and popping them in, very easy. All in all it cost me about 30 shipped and it was definitely worth it. I'll post some pictures later tonight.
