I know there's been a lot of talk about LED H4 bulbs for the 3rd gens with quite a few mixed reviews. I've been talking to Piaa for along time about this and they have been working on H4 solution for a long time. They are now out.

Yea, they are pricy, but anything Piaa does is made in Japan and is very good quality and they wouldn't release these until they got it right, as I was told.

If anyones wants to try these, I'll work a deal to try and help you out. Prob $70 less than you see on Piaa's link above... These should eliminate the need and problems with HID's I hope.

If you can get them for $225 to my door I'll be happy to give them a go. Been looking at something similar by another company for about $225 shipped. I'd be happy to do a full review of them if I get them.
 
I would need to see pics. I feel like it's going to be like the HID bulb kits where it looks like crap because it just doesn't work in a halogen housing. Not sure how the OEM does LED headlights, but I'm guessing they use projectors as well.

Reviews?

Where's the reviews? Debating a cheaper light bar or upgrading to these expensive replacement bulbs. Found them for under $200 on A-zon
 
I've sold a few pair and the feedback has been great for the 96-02 headlight housings. Maybe the guys I sold to will chime in on here. I've had in stock.

just posted on another post, that you mentioned these on. I need to upgrade my stock bulbs. I am interested in these.
 
So let me just say... these bulbs will blow you away with their performance. WAY better than any hid kit I've ever seen and I'd venture to say better than projectors. They illuminate everything, but not blinding for you or other drivers. Best adjective I can think of is crisp. It's like having 4K tv technology in your headlights. They are hands down my favorite mod thus far, and the compliments I get on them are unreal, especially from those pure enough to sit behind the wheel of thine 4Runner.

Absolutely worth every penny. My only regret is taking so long to spread my good review (been without a real computer since Sept, writing on tapatalk takes way longer). But I figured it was way past due and drafted one up and threw it up here on tapatalk anyways.

If you're on the fence, just do it. You won't regret it. And Jason is the guy to get them from. Great service from start to finish.

Damn! Nice pics. What's cool is you had an aftermarket decent bulb in there already and there's a huge difference. If you had stock bulbs it would be David vs Goliath.

there's not much difference between low and high beams. Are you sure you posted the high beam pic? the blue high beam indicator on the instrument cluster is not lit.

Also, did you reinstall the rubber boot at the back of the headlight assembly? is the heat sink removable?
