Took some new pics after I waxed him today.

I think paint was about $1500...

Beautiful Runner! Curious... Looks like the chrome trims, including that on quarter panel, were removed. (I also removed mine). Did you have the mounting holes closed off? I wonder how body shop did it.

Hyde- Those are the exact stripes I plan to order if I can ever make up my mind.

RAD- I had the painter weld the holes shut for the black plastic piece that mounts in front of the rear fenderwell opening. He also welded the holes on the tailgate for the emblems. The chrome fenderwell trim was just left off.

The holes for the chrome strip that runs the length of the rocker panel are still there. That was an oversight on the part of myself and the painter. I thought I had told him to weld those too, but I must not have and once it was painted they were still there! I used black plastic tabs (meant for mounting trim) to fill the holes. They fit snug in the hole and look like a smooth black circle about 1/4 diameter when mounted.

I don't like non-functional chrome so I also removed mine (material actually feels like stainless steel). Researching how best to close the holes.

I love this truck - probably one of the cleanest 1st gens I've seen!

Have you redone the interior to the same level as the exterior? Any pics?

And for what it's worth....I vote "no" on putting on the stripes....

heh-heh... NO on original stripes...
Many factory stripes are fine but those that came with Tyrone do not look fluid/ or as smooth as the others. Those "blocks" look heavy.

Well guys we don't have to debate the stripes anymore (I would have never made up my mind anyway!) because Tyrone is officially on the market! Long story, but he will be in the classifieds in the next 48 hours.

In regards to the interior, I put a pre-molded vinyl floor kit (gray) because I didn't want carpet. A Kenwood AM/FM/CD player with USB, and front speakers. Tyrone is a factory SR5, but due to the fact that some of the factory gauges didn't work properly, I put oil pressure and water temp gauges on the A-pillar. All dash lights converted to LED.

I think it looks great without the stripes. Much cleaner look. Besides those stripes end up all cracked n faded...at least here they do. Wish my 88 looked that good!

U have the Vertigo interior. That option alone is supposedly worth 3k. There were only 10k made. Half gray, half tan. 3/4 went into 4RNRS, 1/4 into pickups. I have it in my 85 Hi-Lux.

I installed it. Carpet was done when I got it and I didn't want to deal with cleaning new carpet.
