New Poster. Looking to buy '07 4runner SE and have a question?

Was wondering if a 2007 Sport Edition with 102,000 at 18,900 a good price? Seems sorta high to me and wasn't sure what price I should offer the dealership? Thanks! Anything I should look out for in this car?

Wow thats a good price. If I could get it for close to that Id have it by tomorrow. Anything in particular I should look out for/know about before purchasing one?

Look to see if it's been serviced. (Timing belt on the V8's) Check to be sure the 4 lo works. (Mine only works if the center diff is locked) Looks for leaks etc. You can also tell if it's been off road by looking for scrapes etc on the undercarriage. Mine hasn't had any service done except oil changes so I'm looking at a fair bit of time and money to get it back up to snuff. I'll do all the work my self since I'm a tech by trade but finding time right now is the kicker for me. Just dropped $60 on plugs tonight. Also found out it's going to need a brake light switch too. Gotta love buying someone else's headaches!

Haha thanks. Supposedly a 74 yo old man has owned it the whole time and has had the oil changed every 3000 miles (car fax agrees), fluids flushed (transfer and differential), recommended maintenance done. They even said I could contact the previous owner and ask him about it. Moving from an '06 330i into something a little more "practical" and all around more useful. Don't want to rush into anything

Well, it's probably not been off road then. Or abused. Sound like it might be a good deal. Check KBB.com to see if that's in the price range.

If it hasn't been off-road, then the 4Lo and center diff probably haven't been shifted too often. Be sure to check that the next time you see it.

And for reference, I just paid 15,400 for an 04 with 48k miles. Original price was 18,999. If you can get them down a couple thousand, I think it's a good deal, but at that price I'd say you could find a better one.
