the 'new posts' link does not always work. it will display the 'no search results' were found even though there are new posts.

I have been having this problem the last couple of days. What's the problem????
 
I'm now trying this from home and it still is happening. I can only guess that it is not on my end. Anyone else having this problem?
 
Yes..I do......but only when I'm using Internet Explorer..When I use Firefox browser everything works fine..... have no idea what the problem is and I don't have time to try to figure it out so I just use Firefox. However it would be great if someone could find what is wrong with that...
 
Ive been seeing the same thing for the past couple of days. Could be one of several things. Could be your browser caching, cookies, the search string. Who knows. Id rather read new posts, than try to figure it out.
 
I've been having this problem for several months now. I've mostly stop visiting the site due to this problem. It just takes too long to manually go through and look for the latest stuff.

This is the only site I know of that has this problem. I use to experience it intermittently and a simple cache flush + logout/login would reset things and all was good moving forward. Now it doesn't seem to matter what I do. I always get "no new posts." Not to complain too much but it might be time that an admin or someone in the know actually go about fixing the problem. It's clearly a site issue since vbulletin works fine in lots of other places.

Same thing has been happening to me for the past few months and I also hve stopped visiting as much for the same reasons.

When I would log on on Mondays I would have like 7 pages of new posts but now a lot of times I get the "no new posts". way too much effort to sort through all the sections and threads to see which new ones interest me so I just don't visit.

I would definitly be on more (and maybe over a thousand posts by now) if this problem did not exist. Could someone please look into this problem?
 
Are you guys talking about the blue new posts button (the one next to the search button) or are you taling about the thing towards the top right that says (when not logged in) "View today's active threads" or (when logged in) "view new posts"?

The blue button is something I created a while back and it's not working for me either. But the thing at the top right is still working as far as I know.
 
I stay logged in so I have the "new posts" blue button and also I have the "view new posts" written under my screenname in the upper right corner. When this feature works either of the will bring me to all the new posts.
 
Yep, I was talking about the "view new posts" link right under my name. The view today's active threads thing always works but it seems like you have to log out first.

In any case, it seems to be working properly again. Did you upgrade/fix something? :D
 
Hi:

I purchased a new computer about 10 days ago, and entered my user name and password correctly. When I check for 'new posts', the message is that there are no new posts, when there certainly is.

I am using IE 7, the same browser as my old computer.

Any assistance appreciated.

Sometimes doesn't work for me, either. Try using Firefox to see if it's the browser. It's what I use, since I avoid IE whenever possible.
 
Yeah that happens on my older laptop but not on my home machine for some reason. Not sure what causes it.
 
Weird - Firefox works with my new computer, while I could access the site and new posts well using IE 7 on my old computer. I might see if I can live without IE?
