New Problem

So my dashboard clock wasnt working, and I attempted to fix it. It all went pretty smoothly and I even had the clock working, then i tried to put the clock back in the console and push it back in. When I did so, the clock went out again. :wtf: So i started over again and tried to fix it using the guide on this forum. All of a sudden the radio and interior lights go out in the car. Other lights in the console such as the AC/heater lights were on, so im a little confused. Any insight on this?

Do you have a bare wire somewhere that is touching somewhere once you put everything back together? Check your fuses as well maybe?

Yeah, definitely sounds like you've got a short someplace.

So once I find this short I'd assume I can just put some electrical tape on it to cover up the bare part of the wire?

Sure, if you want to do it all over again in a year or so. Heat gun + new shrouding for a long term repair on wiring, + looming FTW
