GOBI racks are sweet.... looks good man

Thanks bro. I wanted something low profile so I didn't lose any clearance over my stock setup. No other rack out there has that benefit, and none come anywhere near the Gobi in build quality. I wanted a strong enough mounting surface to hold an axe, shovel, hi-lift, fuel, and to serve as a mounting point for my solar panel without having to worry about it falling apart like the Surco's. My fridge can now run indefinitely and my 2nd battery stays fully charged even if I never drive the truck.

would love to get one for my future 4wd/expo runner after college. price tag aint too pretty but they are gorgeous to say the least

You get what you pay for. The cheap racks out there (Surco, Rolla, etc) that bolt on to your factory racks are extremely weak in comparison to a full replacement rack (and IMO look terrible/cheap). The BajaRacks are nice, and I almost ordered one, but they didn't design the light bar very well so it looks like a poorly constructed "add-on".

For most, the BajaRack is probably more practical. It just didn't fit my needs as well.

Needed a way to organize all of my gear, so I designed my own drawers.

If anyone in SoCal is interested in something like this shoot me a PM. We would be happy to design/build anything you have in mind.

(Before the handles/latches but it shows the fridge slide)

As always Josh, very well done!

Question for you: I thought I remembered seeing a Yakima Fat Cat ski/snowboard rack on your rig at one point. Can you still use something like that with the Gobi roof rack? I've been considering adding a roof rack, but I use my Fat Cat snowboard rack far more than I would use a roof rack for extra gear. It would be nice if I could incorporate both.

I sold mine to a friend a while ago, so I can't help you out there. There are cross beams on my rack (you can see them in the previous pictures) but I'm not sure if they are large/wide enough to keep the FatCat from rotating on them. The stock cross beam's shape keeps it stable, but I'm not sure how it would do on a skinnier, round cross beam.

Drawers look awesome, only if I lived in SoCal. I would love for you to design my drawer set for my 2010. Well done, truck is a beauty!

Definately one of my favorite trucks ever.

A few shotguns and chainsaws and you'd be ready for the zombie apocalypse! :wink2:

Holy crap that's sweet! Your truck has always been one of my favs, but you really stepped it up a notch with the LT!

Any plans for the rear?

You still enjoying that Gobi Stealth Rack? I'm debating buying one but can't make up my mind.

Thanks man,
Eventually I'd like to improve the rear but I'll need a while to settle after this expense.

I love the Gobi. It looks great, it's sturdy as hell, and it allows me up keep a lower profile than others.

Dang man, your runner looks sick! That suspension is freaking sweet, and I love the new rims too. This looks so similar to my buddies Taco (aka. Megatron). He just did the long travel on the back a few weeks ago. The thing is a mini trophy truck now and is just sick to take off road. crappy cell pics :trophy:

Thanks man. That Tacoma is awesome. Are those fenders glassworks? What kind of bumper?

I am going to try to retain my stock fenders but since I am the first 4Runner to run the kit with 285's, new fenders may be unavoidable.

wow those look great man! those are one of my top two choices now. but i might be going to 17's and upgrading to some 33's even though i only got 2k miles on my duratracs haha.
