New Rear Bumper guard only fits V6 - Am I right?

Hey Guys,

I recently bought one of these guys for the 4Runner;

03-06 Lexus GX470/03-08 4Runner Rear Bumper Guard Black | eBay

(forget the price, it was changed a few days after I bought it; not sure why it says that now.)

no-where on the ad does it say that this is for the V6 only. I get it today, and I open only to find that on the order slip (not on the instructions!) it says that this is for a V6 only. It also says it on the outside of the packaging but I missed this before I opened it.

Has anyone any experience with this part?

I couldn't for the life of me find where it should bolt on so I am assuming it's correct. Just want to confirm before I send it back to them

The seller on Ebay changed the price shortly after I purchased the item; still not sure why.

I like the homemade one, that looks pretty sturdy! I am not really bothered with crashes, being rear-ended etc as by-and-large insurance will take care of this. What really gets me is the Seattle drivers who don't know how to park and use the rear, or front, of my car as a "range-finder" that tells them when it's time to stop.

"Oh, I just hit something with '92 POS, time to stop.."

Man, I never thought I would get so attached to this car. I get so paranoid now about where I park it that I park as far away as possible from other cars!

Thanks Sr5hi, looks like I will be going with them, as Chaz has also pointed them out up above. Got an email back from the ebay seller and they are going to process the refund and pay for the return shipping as they had incorrectly stated the item was for "all engines". It is only for the V6.
