New Rims and Tires

I got both the rims and tires from a local shop, Traction Plus. They dont have a website or anything I just went to the store and had them get prices for me. The rims cost me ~$230 each and I think the tires were $139 each ( I am not sure about that one though ) I have to double check for ya. I went to a couple other places to get prices on those rims and they were more expensive so this place was my choice, plus its up the street from me. THanks for the comments :D
 
wow, very nice. Thats a good price....the reason i really didnt look around that much was I wasnt sure if they were gonna fit right, I had truck shops tell me they wouldnt work so I wanted to get them from a place that would basically let me fit them first and see what i was dealing with. Plus other places told me they were $285 so $230 was a good deal. Good for you with that price, that is really a good deal.
 
Completely understand. The reason I waited so long is because I wanted to make sure they'd fit before ordering. Since several others have put on the same sized wheels, I figured it was safe. Just a matter of finding a good price.

I saw a set of four 16x8's on EBAY for $555. That company says they have the 17x8 in stock, but I don't know at what price (I assume it would be for more than $555). In the lengthy process of trying to get information on that company, I came across a special at wheelsforless. The normal price at wheelsforless was $209. Since others have mentioned wheelsforless, I decided to go for it.

Again, they said they have 17x8's in stock. I don't know anything about them though and was concerned about ordering from them direct instead of through EBAY. I'm just paranoid though. They're probably fine.
 
It's the bolt pattern. 5/5.5 would mean there are five bolts on the wheel with approximately 5.5 inches diameter between the center-line of the bolts if you were to draw a circle around the center-line of all the bolts. You'll also sometimes see the second number expressed in millimeters. 5/139 would be the same as 5/5.5. This article might explain it better: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/boltpatt.htm

The 2004 4Runner Sport and Limited use a 17" wheel with a 6/5.5 bolt pattern - 6 bolts, 5.5" diameter. I'm not certain what the SR5 has, except that it comes standard with a 16" wheel instead of 17".
