New Runner, new questions

Hi,

I finally found a replacement for the 99 SR5 that died recently. I got an 07 limited dark gray 4wd, talk about a whole different experience!:bluejump:

Anyway, this new to me 4runner mean I have a few things to learn. I found out how to tell mpg and miles left in tank. I read the average mpg listed by the computer is a bit off. But what about miles left in the tank, is that spot on? I came from a 99 where the gas light came on with 4 gallons left in the tank and I drove a fair bit once it did.

Is the spedometer correct (tires seems standard size) or is it off like previous version by a couple of miles?

Recommend tires. It needs some new tread soon. How big and what do people recommend? I don't plan on lifting right away as x-reas might complicate that. I used to have Revo's but they got loud when about half gone.

Any useful information to a new owner is appreciated. I look forward to taking is out on some exploring

Yes, miles left in tank is a bit optimistic because it is based off of the computers mpg reading.

As far as i know, the speedo is accurate with the stock 265/65's. You can fit 265/70/17's with minnor trimming or by removing the mud flaps. Tires are based on what type of driving you do. More highway or offroad?

Thanks

I got 18" rims. So an extra inch is pushing it? I like A/Ts for offroad and snow but still have decent on road manners. It is also my DD. I don't hardcore offroad but I do like the ability to go down a 4x4 trail when needed
