My recommendation would be tell the dealer not to wash the Ext. of the truck. I would wash yourself , claybar , polish & wax. After it cure's you can add multiple coat's if your using synthetic wax/polymer based product. If you using a pure carnuba there is no need for a 2 coat except to get better coverage. Carnuba wax does not last but give's a great glow. If you use carnuba , find one you like and use it every couple week's, you should be ok.
I personally use a spray type carnuba/polymer blend that work's awsome and last's longer than many paste carnuba waxes. Be really into detailing I use , sell and test alot of product's , MF towel's ect... I'm no expert just giving you my opinion's.
As far as what type of product's to use , that's all up to you. There are alot of thing's on the web and alot of pretty decent thing's out now at your local auto store like NXT , Eagle One , ect.... I would recommend getting plenty of microfiber towel's .
What color you have also make's a difference in what type of wax, polish , sealant you use. Some product's hide imperfection's in dark color's better than other's.
Any ?'s let me know , I'll try to help
