I'm heading up to new York to pick up a lightly used (12/32nds) set of 265 70 17 bfg KOs on stock rims this weekend. I got a great deal and will definitely post pictures when I get back!
As I head up I have several thoughts. My rear passenger tire is worn very uneven and both back tires are pushing bald. I new I need solid tires so I asked to keep these during negotiations when I bought the truck 2 months ago in anticipation of
Admittedly I did not realize how worn the rears were until recently but I'm trying to chock it up to the previous owner not rotating and myself not catching it.
Unfortunately I worry about a more serious issue like a bent rim it axle, the alignment seems solid and it has no issues at all.
Should I have an alignment done after I throw on the new wheels even though it was just done less than 3k miles ago?
Anything else may cause uneven wear in the rear or am I just over thinking it?
