Not sure I can link to the FB pictures, but this slimline/hybrid bumper looks really nice. I couldn't see the recovery points at first, but asked and they showed where they were. They're recessed at kinda stealthy. I'm digging it! :guitar3:

That's a good idea! Maybe I can do my first tag and tag [MENTION=102293]mark@shrockworks[/MENTION] to see this. I know they just finished a group buy a month or so ago though. I'm interested in the entire Shrockworks package of sliders, skids and front bumper.

I have Shrockwork sliders on my truck which are great but I have a little concern on how thick that piece of plate is that the shackle goes through. It doesn't look more than 1/4" max. I am also not a fan of fairleads for bumpers like this that are not vertically mounted. when they are angled like this you are pretty much guaranteed to be rubbing the back side of the fairlead as you come off the winch drum. Not good for synthetic line that everybody seems to love to used. Otherwise it looks great and I like how tight it tucks in.

You bring up some good points and I will be asking them about these potential issues. I am a structural analyst by trade and I thought the same thing about recovery points. Just looking at the load paths visible from the pictures, the direct line to the bolt just behind the lug is a very strong load path regardless of 1/4" (or possibly 3/16") thickness. The large lug won't bare or shear out and the material should have been sized for this. Also, buckling won't be a problem because you shouldn't be pushing on them. My main issue is if you get pulled on at an angle and see lateral load. I can't see any welded material (pictures too dark) near the lug that would indicate additional lateral support. This would be my main concern and question.

Also, as I'm new to offroading, I hadn't considered the synthetic line rubbing issue you mentioned. I'm interested to hear if that concern was addressed internally or not. Is it possible to add an additional internal fairlead?

They just released this on their website. The things I priced on it had my choice at about $800. Check it out. I'll probably wait for the next group buy so I can help the group numbers. I wish I could have gotten in on the one last year, but I wasn't on this site yet. :Cry:
