New Suspension, Help!

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum, but not new to owning a 4Runner. I have owned a 2002 4Runner SR5 for 5 years now. I was contemplating selling it until I came across this forum. Now I plan on keeping it and make some big changes. I am new to working on cars though so I could use some help. Could anyone start by suggesting a good Coilover kit I could put on my 4Runner. I don't usually go off roading but would like that option, and tow a boat a few times a year. My 4Runner currently runs very bumby, I hit a slight bumb in the road and I feel the full force, so I am assuming this is most likely the shocks. I also would like it to sit higher, about three inches.

So summing up, if anyone could help suggest a few coilover kits that will raise my car about 3'' and also run real smooth I would very thankful!

Thanks guys,
Tim

They offer multiple suspension lifts that would suit your needs. If you are unsure about which lift to order don't be afraid to give them a call. One of the most popular brands around this forum is the Old Man EMU Suspension Lift, depending on which spring you go with you will get anywhere from 1.5-3'' of lift

I had looked at the boss suspension system from toytec. I am not familiar with the different spring strengths though. 650lbs seems a bit much for my needs but I am uncertain wether or not the 550lb springs, or the 600lb springs would be better for me. Any rule of thumb for selecting these?
