New thermostat but still no heat....

I have changed the thermostat out twice (thought they could be faulty) and the heater still doesnt blow hot air. I have an over sized radiator and i heard that could be to blame but i wasnt sure how true that is. I have checked the hoses and everything under the hood and doesnt seem to be anything wrong. I have an '87 with a '86 rebuilt motor in it. anyone have any experience with this???

Just out of sh!ts and giggles, I would pull off the feed and return lines on the firewall that go to the heater core and run a hose through the feed side. Make sure you have good flow throughout your heater system.

I'm sure that at this point it's not your t-stat since you have two new ones. Is your fan turning on? Also, check your cables if you can. Make sure that when you're moving the temp knob to the heat side that the corresponding cable is pulling the lever that it needs to pull. I don't know exactly how the heater system works but I think that a cable on the temp control knob opens or closes a gate of some sort on the heater core.

ya it opens and closes the gate on the fire wall for the inlet. that works great so its not the gate or the cable. and yes the fan does kick on just fine. i will try the hose thing when i head home for break next week. thanks S_v dude
