New tires and Bilstein 5100's

After only 700 miles I got a chance to do a few mods already. My wife didn't like the look of the stock tires. She said she wanted something more aggressive looking. Picked up a set of 275 BFG KO2 tires from 4wheelparts. No sales tax, $50 off instantly, and $50 4wheelparts gift card. Sold my stock tires on Craigslist for $350 the same day.

Also picked up some 5100's while I was there with no sales tax as well. Plan on picking up the rear shocks when I get my $50 4wheelparts card. Only cell phone pics for now.

After getting the tires mounted at Toyota.


Bilstein install.



Set them on the 3rd notch for a 2" increase. Slight rake but I'm happy with it. My 3rd gen creeping in the background.

Do you have reverse rake? I set mine at .85 to give my 1" front lift to avoid reverse rake. Seems like 2" will give you reverse frame rake and once you add some stuff to the rear, you have some really noticeable rear rake.

I wanted the front a little higher but I cant stand reverse rake. Right now I have a slight forward rake, which is the way it should be from what I have read.

Start blacking out some of the exterior bits.

No rubbing at all before I installed the shocks. Even at full lock there was no issues.

No rear rake at all. I measured it when it when I was in the garage on a level surface. Still got a good 3/4-1" lower in the front. I don't really plan on adding anything to rear. Once I get to that point I will have fully upgraded suspension.

ACK! Maybe you should take some of that money you recouped and buy some proper jack stands. Don't hurt yourself or damage your new Runner. :thumb:
