New tires...cant make up my mind

What are your opinions about Cooper STT tires? I have read reviews where people dont like them and other reviews where people praise them.

As per your original post ..... this goes for every tire and every review you read on a tire like on TR , DC , 1010 , ect......

I think Cooper is in -OR- on the edge of bankruptcy. Not saying they are bad tires.

Have you looked into the Nitto Dune Grappler?? It'll have you covered when it comes to the sand, and the Nitto's generally have good road manners.

I just read a good thread on the Dune Grappler.... it may be a good choice for Hawaii. Good light offroad tire, quiet and surefooted on road and very resistant to cutting when going over volcanic rock.

LT275/70r17 GY Wrangler SA

I put these on a year ago & really like them.
They raised the car about 1 inch.
Only very slight rub at full turn but not a problem, smooth metal, very slow speed at full turn.
No lift on the car.
Smooth, quite, great for tough off roading.

Works great on the highway and at Katemcy Tx. & Moab.

Does this size tire fit a stock 4R? I was told the biggest tire that fits stock height is 265/70/17??? If the 275 fit, I will look into those.

Thanks Rook for the link.

All please note:
Back when thoes pics were taken the car did not have any lift installed.

The tag line under the pics show the car with a 2.5" lift but, that's because the tag has since been updated.

I guess all previous postings get updated to any new changes made to the tag line.

I just purcahsed the Goodyear Silent Armour wrangler Pro Grade 265/70/17. This is by far the best tire beats Revo hands down. Revo is what I removed. Quieter tire and maybe even more aggressive. Just my thoughts on the tire.
