New Tires Parnelli Jones

Here is a picture of my truck with Parnelli Jones Tires, 265/70/17 size, they just barely fit no rubbing at all so far.

And yes the hood scoop is functional and the truck has a TRD Supercharger on it....if your wondering!!!

Nice setup. Did you go with the LT 265/70 17? I can barely see the sidewall sizing.

Have you driven in the rain?

Those are pricey, I am seeing $200 apiece on the net.

I'd be interested to know

who makes Parnelli Jones tires? Cooper? Mile Marker? Dean Rubber and Tire Company? Kelly Springfield?

What kind of history does Parnelli Jones have? Severe defects and heavy lawsuits and recalls? Lots of customer complaints or happy customers? IF there are lots of happy customers, why don't we see more of PJ tires? Why don't we see them used in 4x4 clubs, 4x4 meets, racing circuits, or serious users?

You don't hear much from PJ anymore so I would venture to guess that they don't have much to offer in selection or sales outlets. Who will take care of you if there is a tire defect?

What's PJ tire's performance track record? How well does it wear? What's the traction of rain, snow, dry, wet? Sidewall toughness? Quality of the carcass and rubber? Balancing issues? soft spotting issues, tread seperation issues?

How does it compare to BFG or Michelin or Toyo or Bridgestone? If the price is the same, why not stick to the well known and well respected labels?

It looks good and fills hte wheelwells, but I would like to know more about PJ's before it even comes up for consideration...

SHIFT? is that supposed to be like Nissan slogan? what does your hood scoop do for your SC?? did you have it modify to the air box? I never herd of Parnelli Jones tires but those tire do look mean on your 4R! How is the noise level with them on the street?? mac truck like?? got any picture of the SC with the functional hood scoop?

SHIFT is a motocross clothing company, I ride on my spare time.

I have some pics of the supercharger coming, the truck is in the shop for the sunroof problem.

Tires are kind of noisy but with the windows up it's not to bad.

NICE! What is the load rating on those? They look pretty aggressive.
