New tires

First off sorry I've read about 50 threads on many forums this one first haha but I have no idea what psi my new tires should be. I also called 8-10 tire shops and the place I bought them and never got the same response. Specs of my 4runner are: 08, V6, 3 in leveling kit, no towing or hauling, daily driver

I bought Falken Rocky Mountain ATS's
265/70/17 113s 4ply (p rated? I believe)

I know its not a big jump up in size but I don't want new tires to wear unevenly

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

I run mine at 36. I like a little less squat in the sidewalls than what 32 offers. I have always gone about 4 psi higher than recommend in my trucks and have gotten perfect tire wear and much longer life than rated.

I also run a little high...About 35psi. Doesn't seem to have an adverse effect on tire wear.

Anywhere between what is on your door jamb and the max psi of the tire. It is matter of personal comfort and performance.

As others have mentioned, you can run it a little higher than 32 without any negative impact on tire wear.

I would say Toyota went with 32 psi as the best average for various tire makes and models, driving conditions and duration, etc.

The advice has been good.

In the range of pressures being talked about differences in wear would be subtle. If wear is your priority, rotate regularly and take it easy, especially in corners.

Did you also replace the spare tire with the new style and size? If the spare is the same type of tire and wheel then put that in the rotation mix too. That also gives you the opportunity to regularly check spare tire pressure. I always keep max pressure in my spare then air down to match the others if I have to use it.

Maybe on paper. There are so many variables to take into affect. Main one being driving style. There are a lot of people who do so many things to try to increase their mpg. Yet the first time they need to pull out in front of traffic or just feel like flooring it....it's all wasted. Not to mention if you live where it is cold and you like to start your truck and let it warm up before driving it. I relate it to all the fad weight loss pills and mumbo jumbo you always see. None of that works long term. You wanna lose weight eat better and less and get your big ass off the couch. You want to get better mpg? Get skinny and smaller tires and Drive better! Pretend their is an egg under the skinny pedal. And keep doing the routine maintence your vehicle requires.
