New tires

The picture shows my 4runner with 265/75 R16 Goodyear Duratracs w/ a 2 in lift. I ran them for about 1,000 miles before I put a lift on and just had minimal rubbing at full turn but I don't have a picture of it stock w/ these tires.

Looks good. I'm trying to avoid lifting for for but as long as it was only at full turn I'm sure I'll be fine.

I'm running 265 Michelin LTX street tread that came with my '99 Limited when I bought it on 10/30/15. Excellent traction on dry dirt/gravel. Very quiet, smooth ride with excellent road manners. Getting 18-20 mpg calculated off indicated mileage (higher actual according to the tire upsizing factor) in combined driving and expect many miles from this set.

Like I stated earlier BFGs hard hard E rated tire. I have them. I like the look but the ride can be harsh on street. C rated if your mostly on road. Duratrac or other.

Yokohama Geolander ATS have treated me well in the regular weather and snow.

I'm probably beating a dead horse here but I am going to be buying tires in the next month or so and I am trying to decide what to get. I currently have Goodyear Wranglers, 265/70/16 and was considering going up one size (whatever that is) as long as I will not need any lift. I am going to try and keep it at or below $800 if possible. Any suggestions? If I have overlooked a large tire thread just link me to it and I can close this thread.

I'm quite happy with my Cooper ATP tires in 265/75/16. I think I have about 15k on them now. Pretty much look the same today as they did brand new.

Thank you, sorry I have been out testing it on the trail for a bit, I went with 255/85/r16 and the lift is a toyotec 3 1/2 inch utimate lift
