Hi, I just purchased a very used, bet well cared for 2nd gen, which is my first 4Runner. It is a manual V6 with 206k!! miles. It was quite pampered most of its life based on condition, but also I think they don't build them like this anymore. The oil pressure gauge freaks me out based on its read out, but searches of the forum seem to indicate that is common, and probably not an issue. It sure sounds great, and runs well. Most amazing to me is that it has NO rust, which is never the case with Toyotas this old in Kentucky. The frame and body are perfect other than very minimal surface rust in a few small spots and around the welds on the frame. I paid very little for it, so wish me luck that I don't start having trouble immediately. I will say that the back window worked fine when I test drove it, but almost immediately fell of its tracks. I tried putting it back on, but that was before reading some other very helpful threads regarding fixing that issue. Thank you to all who take the time to post such helpful threads!
