Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm from SoCal. I have 2004 4runner White LE V8. It was originally my wife's. But, since i lost my car recently. She was to get a new car and I'm going to inherent the 4runner. I'm new to offroad scene so bare with me if i don't know anything. I used to lower all my cars but now since the 4runner will be mine soon. I would like to lift this car and fix it up a bit. Can anybody tell me. What brands, kit, $, website for lifting. I want to be able to go offroading and time to time rock climb if needed to get a beautiful destination y'all keep posting (yes I'm jealous, lol)

Welcome!

There are quite a few different lifts out there. Here is the suspension thread that will help. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/102272-4th-gen-suspension-options-faq.html

The first thing you need to ask is what are you going to do with your new toy? On a budget I recommend the Daystar spacer kit.Daystar? - Driven by Design It installs in 3 hours if you are a pro. It took me 8 hours. I would start with that. Most folks would be more than happy with that.

Since you are fairly new I would use what you have. The 4th gen 4runner amazed me the first time I took it off road. My brother and his family took me out to a desert trail outside of Phoenix Arizona right after I got the truck. The trail was very aggressive and I was sure we were going to get stuck. There was not a moment the truck was not in full control. Totally stock, street tires and all. I have been hooked ever since.

Take it out and report back.

Welcome!

I have a stock truck and like Sammy said I was suprised what it would do out of the box. Take it out for a spin and see what limits you run into then think about ways to remedy that.
