Thought I would introduce myself here. I had a 3rd gen for a while that I did a slight build on a few years back. Now Im in a 06 V8 4x4 as of a few days ago. Its at 148k and the PO didn't have an idea of when the timing belt was changed. He only had it for 2 years and no records from the prior owner. Parts are on there way but I decided to have it done professionally.
Not sure the future of the 4runner but I'm going to run it as is for a while to see what I actually need it to do and look like. DD and family camping rig. Maybe a install the GTA blue tooth thingy, full length roof rack or cargo box and some maintenance. Absolutely love the ride and comfort. I'm sure a lift will be down the road, maybe OME or something comparable. Currently working on a 85 FJ60 that was sitting for 15 years so thats taking up what extra time I do have.
