Just picked up an 89 4Runner White on Grey Automatic - 3.SLOW with 175k miles and a blown motor - no rust, California truck. Seems solid.
Here she is as she became mine:
So far I've swapped in a new motor, bought a Fat Bob's 2"Lift, and 15x8 Procomp Wheels and BF Goodrich KM2's in 33x10.50x15.
I've got Trail Gear Front and Rear Bumpers, and a couple LED Light Bars to install. I'm going to have a swing away Rear Tire Carrier built and just tinker with it until my 14 year old son starts to drive.
Should be a fun project! It reminds me of the first 4Runner I ever owned in 1986!! It's slow as Christmas and TINY compared to my 5th Gen!
