New to me, High mileage maintenance?

Just purchased a really clean 2005 Sport V6. Looked at a ton of junk, much of it with way less miles, all of it priced higher, none of it worth buying.

So for 11 grand, I brought home this one with 145k miles. It's clean as a whistle, not too rusty underneath (by Vermont standards) and runs like a dream.

Truck has been to the dealer very regularly for maintenance and other, normal stuff (oil, brakes, alignments, etc.)

Has brand new tires, all fluids look fresh and clean (pink coolant, honey colored oil, etc.) No lights on the dash, 4 new tires. I'm extremely pleased with it.

That said, I'd like to tackle any preventative stuff I can this summer to keep it running for a good long time into the future.

What do you guys suggest?

I know with the old Land Cruisers (this is my 4th 4R, and I've also had 3 different LC's) a lot of guys "baseline" a new, old rig. Which means changing every fluid and repairing a few, well known, foibles.

My last 4R was a 2006 V8 with relatively low miles and I never did much besides regular oil changes. I'm pretty handy though, and did most of my old Land Cruiser work myself or with the help of handier friends.

Thoughts? Drain and refill transmission was my first thought.

Mod plans:

I've already ordered bulbs for the Climate Control panel which is missing a few lights, and a pedal cover for the parking brake since there isn't one now.

I'd like to put yellow bulbs (regular 55w 9006's) into the fog lights. Anything I can do to help poor weather visibility is great.

Probably going to swap out the JBL head unit for a modern one with built in bluetooth, USB/aux, etc. Seems all the ways you add easy aux input involve nearly as much work as just swapping the head unit. I like this one, and I can adjust the lights to match the orange (so it won't look gaudy).

Hard to justify just yet, but a set of slightly larger, General Grabber AT2's will replace these very road-biased Uniroyals at some point.

I don't plan to 'wheel this truck for a while, but whenever I can upgrade an OEM piece with something more dirt worthy, I will.

Congrats on the good find! A drain and refill wouldn't be a bad idea. Just did that on my truck with 90k. Let me know how the climate control bulb chance out goes. I've got a half dark panel currently.

4x4 I assume? I'd replace your sway bar bushings, when they get worn out you can develop a suspension clunk, and upgrading them works wonders for the handling, and can be done for under $100.

Another aesthetic piece would be doing interior leds, it's less than $20 but makes a huge difference
