Hey all,
Im just about to move to Northern California, to Davis to be exact. I have lived there for my freshman year at UCD and am just now moving into an apartment and bringing my truck
I would love to start running some light trails after im settled in and am wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions around the Davis/ Sacramento area.
Heres the down side, i have a stock 4x2, 4 cylinder (i know, but its all i could afford on a high schoolers budget during my sophomore year after saving up :( )
Thanks, and i hope to be able to meet some of you and start really using my truck.

You'll have to go more of up around the Eldorado and East or Auburn/Grass valley area to enjoy the views/trails.

The Wells book will show some of them, there pretty good trails for your ride.

It must be a hell of a book. The lowest price on Amazon is $137!

That's the spiral bound one. Don't know why it's so expensive :( Here is the paperback. Sure spiral is better but. Yeesh!

Guide to Southern California Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails: Charles A. Wells: 9780966497649: Amazon.com: Books

This is probably also a really good book (tons more trails too) judging by the So Cal one I have

I just sold my 05 taco PreRunner for an 02 sport 4x4 T4R. I went to prairie city quite a few times in the taco but I want to go in my new runner to see what it could do. So if you do go shoot me a PM and I'll roll with you

I'm a new 4runner owner and offroader as well, just picked up a 2015 SR5 Premium the other day and am excited to take it around the Auburn area a bit and put it through the test this winter in Tahoe.
