What's up everyone. My name is Rob, from Central Florida. I drive a 2001 4Runner 4WD. Recently, I've been interested in off-roading/mudding. I joined mainly because I'm not too knowledgeable and I need some clarification on what body lift and tires I should have. Any recommendations or additional advice would be awesome! Thank you.

Read this thoroughly first then post a new thread if you have a specific question. As far as tires go, you might want to hone-in on advice from people in your area. They will know what works in your specific terrain better than folks from up north, for example.
Suspension lifts are great for increasing tire contact with the ground and increasing ground-frame clearance. Only bigger tires will raise your ground clearance at the rear differential. If you want to put on bigger tires, you'll need a body lift, body work, and/or larger bump stops. The links around here will give you much more info than I can. Good luck.

I would suggest looking into a suspension lift rather than a body lift, or both. You'll be paying more, but the benefits are worth the cost in my opinion. You'll most likely be enhancing your ride quality on and off road, creating more clearance for larger tires, and freshening up some old and worn parts.
