New to T4R and new to the truck.

Hello everyone I have been lurking on here for about a week and finally decided to pop in and say Hi.

I just recently purchased a 00 LTD 4x4 with 186k miles. And I love it, plain and simple. I don't know what I want to do with it yet but I know where to go when the time comes!

I know the first thing I am going to do is remove those running boards, I have never liked them on any vehicle...

Okay now for a few questions. I have check ass the fluids and they seem fine but should I go ahead and do an oil and filter change? Also what about spark plugs? I am no mechanic and usually only do minor/beginner stuff on cars but I want that to change with this one. I don't know why but I think looking at this forum and other resources I think I can actually get my hands dirty and do some of the more challenging jobs myself.

Welcome , if you have no records as to when the last oil change was, diff's etc. then yes go ahead and change the oil, and other fluids small price to pay for knowing that everyone of your fluids are in good condition. Same as the plugs if no records then yes change those as well. all are easy to do reference you owners manual for the proper levels on fluids and plug type and gap
