new to t4r help what to look for?

Hey guys I'm looking to buy my first 4runner it will probably going to be a 3rd Gen. What are some things to look out for? Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Timing Belts / Water Pump replacement at 90k
Rear Axle Seals (are they leaking)
Rust on Frame (Depends on where you are buying it from)
Scheduled Maint. (done on time)
Oil Leaks around the Head and Oil Pan.
Pink Milk Shake in the Radiator

This is like the eleventy billionth thread on what to look out for in used 4runners (give or take a few). There needs to be a sticky on the subject. Or at least just search for the answers.


Back on topic though, animal is right on. Look over those areas and you should be good to go.

Look out for falling rocks, children playing in the street, sinkholes, terrorists, and McDonalds' McRib sandwich. Or just goolgle "3rd gen 4runner common problems" next time...
