new to t4r's..what gears do i need to run 33's

:lookout:..my yota 4rnr it's a 88 r22e auto planning to run 33 bfg's all terrain
and dont know what gear ratio put in the diffs,also what lift kit do i need to clear those 33's........dont have big dollars to buy fancy parts....
i am a fabricator and do most of my proyects got the tools to do almost everything

You will have a noticeable loss in power and economy, but many people find it liveable. People run 33's on stock gears all the time. You're right on the edge of needing to regear.
Try it on stock gears for awhile and see how you like it. You can always regear later.

If you do decide to regear you'd want 5.29's for your setup.

I thought 4.88 would be a good choice but, I am new to the 4x4 setups.
Would 4.88 be a good street/off road choice with 33" tires?

4.88 would be right for a 4 cyl/5 spd, but he stated he has an auto trans.
With an auto you typically go one step lower, which in this case is 5.29.

Definitely 5.29 with an auto trans and 33's. Or you could run 32's and 4.88s.

you could buy 4.88 out of the junkyards lots of 2nd gen there with blown 3.0.not as good as 5.29 but better than 4.30 and I think they're around 50 bucks at the local pull a part
