Hey im new here, I just bought a 92 2-door 5sp v6 one week ago. I'm from Alberta canada. So far on this truck I've installed Old Man EMU front shocks, and removed the running boards. future plans include 2inch BJ lift, EMU rear springs and shocks, 31inch toyo's, new windshield, and then boost

the only pic i have of my new truck so far...

and this is my first gen i owned a year ago. It was too far gone so i got rid of her.

so far Ive got lots of info from searching the forum, so im looking forward to contributing

That's a first generation (1984-89) 4-Runner by you stating it hasa V6 engine leads me to believe it's a 1988 or 1989.You better check yuor registration paperwork to make sure the VIN matches the engine,tranny,color,frame,etc.

on future plans you say boost. are referring to forced induction. cause would be sick if you are LC Engineering has full 4runner supercharger and turbo kits.

the pic of the beat up spray painted black first gen is my old 4runner. it was beat with 350,000kms on the old 4cyl 22RE.

and yeah I want to do either a SC or Turbo on my 92 V6. I havent done any research yet on kits for it, I want to finish the suspension and tires first.

yeah a big, nasty turbo under the hood would be sweet. your new ride looks really clean.

thanks, yeah its pretty mint for being a 16 year old truck. I got it from the orig owner, she took pretty good care of it.

as for boost... maybe 2JZ swap?

ya i was looking into doing that instead of rebuilding the 22re. twin turbo. rice out your 4runner, you'd smoke so many cars out there. or a 2mgte?

It would have to be a big HP single turbo 2JZ but thats dreaming. but with the high HP then you start blowing diffs and t-cases and it would turn into a large headache. I may just slap on a SC to the 3VZ for some extra jam, but thats still a while away.

thanks man. I waxed it last weekend with "tech wax" and i swear it turned a darker shade of red. shes lookin pretty good now, I ripped off the stock running boards so it looks a little meaner now.

yeah pics are from last summer, i got those pics from the sell. I havent taken any pics since ive got it.
Im going to do the rest of the suspension and ill take before and after pics. Havent even had time to get the truck over the pit and take a look at things like suspension bushings.

thanks! the 2gen 2doors are pretty rare. and this one had everything I wanted, so I got it.

if you're still looking for a 2gen there is a MINT 4door auto here in lloydminster (i work here half the time) I've checked it out, its pretty good, but the toyota dealer inspected it and quoted $2300 in extra work that needs to be done (on top of $8900 asking price) but its in really nice shape and only has 155,000 its a '94
I think the dealer is silverwood toyota lloydminster if you want to check it out and see pics.

Thanks for the tip. Sounds like a good 4Runner but its a bit out of my price range.

Im going to be going to a car auction this weekend, they have 2 1997 4Runners so im going to take my money there and see how low those 4Runners go for and maybe pick one of them up if I see a good deal, chance are though the used car dealers will be all over those and it'll go for more than I have.

I have a 1995 4runner SR5 with 250k kms lined up already though so if the auction doesnt go well I'll just pick the 95 up. Im incredibly excited to own my first 4Runner, I've been reading these forums everyday at work for the past couple months.

Your two door 4Runner is really nice, I was thinking about looking at that one alittle while back but I kinda need the 4 doors.

Im looking forward to seeing more pics of your two door after you're done.
