So i just bought a 1995 4 runner, and i am not sure how to tell if there are issues with it. The previous owner of the car changed the water pump and the thermostat. He said that he didn't re time the truck. So is there anything i can do to make sure the timing is correct without having to take it to a shop. I called and got an estimate on how much and they said $600. I really don't want to take it in if i don't have to. Any ideas would be great and appreciated.
