New TRD Style Grille

Can't decide if I need the gasket or not. Don't think its needed functionally, and this rig is rough enough I'm not sure its worth it aesthetically.
Some notes:
1) This is completely unmodified. I'm tempted to paint it to match the bumper, but not sure it matters.
2) I could not get the old nuts to fit on the middle thread sets on each side. Just couldn't get it to work. I grabbed a normal bolt and washer out of my bin of assorted stuff, and that worked great.
3) I need to figure out a way to attach a v8 logo to this. I've got my old one set aside, just not sure how to modify it yet.

Mine took about 2 months total. I order mine in early sept and it arrived late mid Nov.
After 3 months from my initial order, waiting for my logo as it needed to be sent twice and getting the oem gasket, I FINALLY installed it. Install was super easy, except there are two oem T Nut type fasteners that are not quite long enough, but the with all the other nuts it's more than adequate to hold the grill on securely, took me maybe 20-30 mins tops.
I am super happy with the look, especially with my new Demello Offroad bumper, Restless Offroad sliders and SCS wheels I recently installed.

My grille came in today as well. I got the emblem around a week or two in. It shipped USPS, I think I read somewhere it’s from CA. I’d contact the company and have them send you another one.

I messaged the original vendor and they sent me a USPS tracking which stated it was return to sender here in CA. I requested a new one shipped and they had no issues mailing another one, I would message the vendor they are very responsive.

That's a bit more than what I paid for mine to vancouver. I just checked and I paid about 130 for shipping. It arrived in a week.

Can you clarify or perhaps provide a photo that shows where the latch mechanism detaches from the old grill and attaches to the new one?

Alright I figured it out once I got the old grill off. There is a metal frame type piece that runs along the bottom and sides of the old grill (what the latch mechanism is attached to). You need to take that whole thing off the old grill and attach to the new one.
I got mine installed over the weekend. It's definitely one of those jobs that should probably take 30 mins or so but I ran into several issues with removing the old hardware. For anyone who is planning to install soon I'd start spraying down the hardware now to hopefully loosen them up.
I initially tried to reuse my rubber seal from the old grill but it looked pretty bad so I just removed it. I'd recommend buying a new one for anyone looking to do it the right way.
Quality seems pretty good for non-oem. Not perfect up close but then again most of our 4runners are 15+ years old with hundreds of thousands of miles so who cares.

I'm looking for a factory grill from a limited (Color: silver, Year: 06-09). I have a 2006 sport and want something other than the chrome. If any of you putting on the TRD grill have one in good shape you're looking to get rid of please let me know. Cheers!

I have a White one and in the LA area, happy to let it go cheap especially if you are local.
