Hi guys, brand new user and 1st time 4runner owner! I just bought a 2000 4runner Limited Sport Edition with 160k miles on EBay, and absolutely love it. It was a local car, and is in excellent shape, carfax was perfect with only 1 owner. I'll post pics soon, but I have a couple of questions I was hoping to get help on since it didn't come with a owner's manual, and I've got 1 on order.
1. What grade or octane gas is reccommended? or what do you use?
2. How do you get the interior lights to come on when you open the doors? Mine currently only come on when you hit the button, and I can't figure or find out a setting/switch to have them automatically come on when the door is opened.
3. My radio works and so do the instrument lights, but the radio lighting flickers and goes out at times, but the radio still works. Is this common, or any known solutions?
4. I bought the car for $5450, do you think this was a good deal? I would rate it a 9/10 for a 2000. Engine runs very strong, paint is very good, and interior is leather, and very clean. I've had it 2 weeks now, and not a drip of anything on the driveway...
I know this is a lot for a new user, but I'm excited I found this forum, thanks for any input and help!
* I searched for some of these answers, and couldn't find too much, so sorry if these were posted...
